This e-paper, with an introduction from the RCN, captures a roundtable discussion amongst frontline nurses from acute, primary and mental health settings. In it, they consider the role of clinical documentation in a paperless NHS and the ways in which nurses can re-design and re-imagine the documentation process. They discuss the influential role of technologies, including speech recognition, supporting data capture and communication and how best to harness technology to free-up nurse time to care and improve outcomes for their patients.
